Amazing! Can't recommend enough

My friend spilled a glass of wine on my laptop three years ago when it was only a few months old. I took it to the apple store and they quoted me $750 to fix it. I wasn't willing to pay that much so I bought a new computer and put the broken one in storage hoping it might dry out one day. After 3 years I decided to see if there was any way to salvage it, and found iFixYouri. For $60 they were able to repair my computer. The automated system is a breeze to use, and the free shipping made it easy to take a chance that this could work. I can't believe that my computer is back to perfect working condition for less than 10% of what Apple quoted. Now I will get many more years of use out of this machine. I can't recommend this service enough.

They were a life saver!!!!

Is this just for water damage? What if I spilled liquor? Answer:
This water damage service applies to damage by any liquid. We've restored all kinds of liquid-damaged MacBooks - pool water, salt water, beer, wine, milk. Obviously, some liquids are easier to clean and have less corrosive ability, but this service can be performed no matter which liquid contacted the internal components.

How much would it cost to fix my mac air from water damage? One day, my mac air stopped turning on so I sent it to apple support and they have said that I have a water damage on the logic board. Sometimes it turns on and sometimes it doesn't. Most of the times, it doesn't even turn on. When it turns on, it says that keyboard is not connected and trackpad does not work either unless I put wireless mouse usb in it. Answer:
The water damage service basic cleaning for the MacBook is $59.99. This price is only due if we are able to power the device up to the point of data retrieval. If we are unable to power it up and retrieve data, there is no cost for the repair (however, mail-in customers are responsible for shipping). If we are able to repair the device by replacing components, those will be quoted separately and your approval will be required before we proceed with completing the repairs.

I spilled water on my 2014 macbook air. I have tried to power it up and change it. At first nothing but now the charge light comes on. Have I destroyed it or is it still repairable? Answer:
It sounds like the computer might have a short on the logic board. Our board repair technicians should be able to bring your computer back to life.

There is always a chance our water damage repair service can recover data or sometimes even restore full functionality to a MacBook Air that has been damaged by water. If we are not able to recover data off your device, you do not pay anything (except shipping if you are a mail-in customer).

Hi! Two nights ago, I accidentally spilled a little bit of my vodka lemonade on my roommate's Macbook. It was just a splash, but it just so happened to fall into the crack right in between the keyboard and screen. We took it to the Apple store and they said there were some splatters of liquid damage and it would be $750 to repair, and we are both broke, recent college grads! Is it too late to fix it? I would say the damage is slight to moderate, but the laptop is still not powering on or charging. Please let me know if this is something we can recover from without breaking my bank! Thanks! Answer:
Hi there! Each water damaged device is a case by case basis. We do carry a very high success rate at fixing devices with liquid damage, even vodka lemonade! We'd recommend sending it in for our cleaning/repair service, where we'll disassemble the entire computer and clean each and every component. Once we know everything is clean, we'll test each part to see what, if any, are damaged. From that point, if anything needs replacement, we contact you with a quote. The average cost for repair usually comes in around $120-$150. Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions, we'll be happy to help you out. Have a great day!

Are the parts that you replace with broken parts completely official and the same ones you'd get it you went to the apple store. Also is there warranty for it if it breaks again after giving it in to repair Answer:
We use only the highest quality parts available on the market. Since we are not an authorize apple repair center, we can not claim to use OEM parts. Any parts we do install carry a minimum 90 day warranty.

I see many people mentioning vodka, beer etc. and you seem quite optimistic. What about... milk+yoghurt ? My spouse doused his macbook air in smoothy by accident (same bag...). The computer store technician, of course, made him buy a new one immediately, but I would really like to save the machine if possible. It was only a few months old. Are you up for the challenge? And lastly, do you have a ballpark max of what it might cost, assuming the worst (there was a lot of smoothy). Best, Rachel Answer:
Hello, chances are we can fix it. We are definitely up for the challenge and we're very confident in what we do. Often times you'll need a new keyboard($149.99) along with the proper cleaning($59.99). Worst case scenario you're looking at the $200-$300 range. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we'll be happy to help you out.

I have already tried turning it on, charging it,and pressing buttons; basically everything you said not to do. However, this was all before I four f out that it had water damage. It worked for a few days after water spilled on the keyboard protector, but then it shut down. It won't charge, nor will it give any sign of life. Can it still be salvaged even after a month or two of just sitting there? Answer:
Hi Nyjia, Even if you have tried powering the device on or charging it, chances are we can fix it. Regardless of the amount of time it has sat not being used, we'd still definitely recommend sending it in for our repair service. We carry a very high success rate at fixing water damaged devices and computers. Please let us know if you have any questions, we'll be happy to help you out. Have a great day!

Apple is asking for a ridiculously large price of money to fix my laptop, probably just a few dollars short from the original price I paid for. What is the maximum amount needed to spend in order to get my computer working correctly? Answer:
Nyjia, we'd need to diagnose the device to provide a complete repair quote. Water damage can affect different components to varying extents. Our basic cleaning package which sometimes is all that is needed is $59.99. If parts are damaged and require replacing, they will be quoted separately. The costs of these parts vary. We will not replace parts (leading to higher costs) without your approval.

Does this mean I would need a screen replacement rather then a clean? Thanks Answer:

I got a little water on my new MacBook Air while it was in a carry bag and off course I dried it off imediately and took to an authorized apple repair center IShop/TechPeople in Queretaro, Mexico at the new iStore in Atena. They kept it 3 days to do diagnostic and said the significant repairs needed were possible but to do, but it would run about the same price as a new machine. They did offer to very affordably get all the data off the machine, which I am having them do. The questions I have now is should I just use it as a door-stop or should I send it on to you to see if you can use your magic, ultrasonic cleaning and fix corrosion issues so that you possibly could resurrect my MacBook Air for less than the $1,000 price tag they gave me, or before I go off to buy a new one. As a conscience recycler I also wonder if there a places that take dead Macs and use them for parts when rebuilding other Macs. I'd rather that happen than having my beloved computer end up on a land fill. Thoughts??? Answer:
Hi Rachel, we have a very high success rate with repairing water damage laptops. Our technicians will thoroughly clean your computer and if additional parts are needed they will discuss it with you first. It is extremely rare, if ever, to see the cost of parts that high. I do not have any memory of spilling anything on my macbook. Maybe like 2 months ago my younger cousin split Ginger Ale by my laptop, and I thought it only touched the case but maybe not? I do see some orange dried up liquid in the vents. On May 3rd I used it to complete some hw and charged it before I went to sleep. And the next morning when I tried turning it on, it would not turn on. The fan would run but the screen would not change from a blackish/blue. Do you fix these too? I went to apple on May 4th to see what the problem was, and they said they found some honey-like substance by the display sensors? It has not even been a year yet since my purchase and apple is asking for the price of another laptop. Thank you. Answer:

Hi I had let my friend barrow my computer for college when she had gone away and it was for a while. When I got it back it turns on and makes the sound but nothing is projected onto the screen. When I took it into the store they said it was most likely water damage, and told me that to repair would cost 200-300 dollars, and I wanted to see if there was a better price. I don't know when or how long it's been since she spilt water onto my computer. it has been almost a over year since she's had it. Is there anyway that you can possibly still fix my computer? Also does the $59.99 cover everything or will I have to pay extra once you figure out the damage and what parts you will need? Thank you. Answer:
Hi Amanda, In order to give you an accurate quote, we'd have to see the device. There could be a number of things effecting it and preventing the screen from lighting up. Hello Someone spilled a beer on my 2013 Macbook Air. We immediately dryer it off and let it sit for 48 hours before attempting to power it on. However -it would not power on and the MagSafe light would not work - no green or amber. I took it to the Apple Store yesterday for a diagnostics and they indicated that there was evidence of liquid damage and signs of corrosion on the board. Would this still be something that could be fixed? I am open to paying for repairs - just not $750 - when you might as well just purchase a new one at that price. The laptop is just at 1 year old and has been well cared for prior to this incident. If the device is not repairable - how much is the most that I would be out? Is there any warranty on the repairs? Answer:
Hi Lane, we recommend the water damage service. We provide a thorough cleaning of your computer. We have successfully repaired many computers that have had all kinds of mysterious liquids spilled on them.

Hello. So I accidentally spat out water on my MacBook Air yesterday. It got on the trackpad and then a little bit seeped into the space bar area of the keyboard (had a cover on the keyboard). Wiped up the spill, saw that everything was fine, went on about my business. Later that night I turned it on and the fan was running at the highest speed and it was running kind of slow. I figured that maybe the water did screw something up so I turned it off and flipped it upside down. Tried turning it on this morning and no response. My campus diagnostics team said that it was likely a fried motherboard or CPU, but they also said to wait a few days. Is that something I should do, or should I just send it in for repair immediately? I don't have a lot of time as a student so if it's fried, I want to get started with repairs ASAP. Hi Addisyn, from what you are describing it sounds like your board doesn't see the hard drive anymore. We would have to test the computer before we can tell if it is the board or just the hard drive.

Hi I spilled like 2 or 3 drops on water on my MacBook Air key board it turns on and everything appears to be working fine accept it is typing in a diffrent language or is encrypted or something...can this be fixed? Answer:
Hi, if water made contact with your MacBook, you should send it in for a free diagnostic. It is possible that we can fix it, but we'd like to see it in person to see what has happened internally.

So is this $60 to send it to you and then if you have to replace any parts its an additional cost? Answer:
Hello, that is correct. If one (or sometimes more) cycle of our cleaning/drying process can allow us to restore data, the service is $59.99. If parts have been damaged and require replacement, those will be quoted separately.

If there is corrosion happening in the device, is it still salvageable? If so, what would the estimated cost be? Answer:
Hi Kristina, every water damaged device is different. If there is corrosion inside the device, we might be able to still fix it. You can ship your device to us so we can take a look.

I spilled coconut water on my mac book air 13" a week ago and it woke up once 4 days after the spill and has remained dead since then. In case I need to replace logic board, how much would it cost? After running diagnostic and I chose not to repair if the cost is high, do I still need to pay for shipping? Answer:
Hello, We'd recommend sending it in for our water damage repair service. If the logic board has physical damage from the coconut water spill, we would contact you with a quote for repair. If you deny repairs, you would have to pay the return shipping charges, which are about $15-$20 for UPS Ground. Let us know if you have any other questions, we'll be happy to help you out!

how do we ship it to you ? do you provide a box ? or do we buy a box ? how do we do shipping costs ? can u explain every step, step by step please as i do not understand Answer:
Great question thanks for asking. As soon as you purchase the service online, a shipping label is emailed to you. Standard shipping is included. Additional insurance and faster shipping are an additional cost. You would need to find a sturdy box to ship your device in. Package it securely with something like shipping popcorn, crumpled paper, or bubble wrap. If you shake the box you shouldn't be able to hear the device thumping around inside. You do not need to include cases or charging cables; we have those. Tape the box up well, and clear tape the shipping label on it.
