Would I have to pay $500 to get it fixed? Or do I pay $20 for the $500 insurance/coverage in the case that it cost $500 to fix the water damage? Answer:
Hello, We're not quite sure what you mean here. The insurance is the coverage for the shipping and is not related to the repair service.

I dropped my iphone 6 in the ocean and now it does not work. I tried it in rice for 48 hours and that as well did not work. The sim card is completely working. I was just wondering how much it would cost to fix this on average and also how high the price can go if you can fix it. Is there also an option where if you guys find the problem and figure out how to fix will you tell me the price before hand just in case it is too much for me? Answer:
Hi Brandon, we have a high success rate with water damage treatment. Even with devices that have gone in the ocean! You will only be responsible for charges if we can restore power to the device to the point of data retrieval. If there are any other parts that are damaged the technicians will give you a thorough breakdown of what is going on and the cost.

Hi, I dropped my iphone in the toilet for 2 seconds, took it off, wiped it off and then like an idiot let it on. An hour later the screen started to become red. It went from red to the rebooting apple logo. I couldn't shut it off for a while. I managed to shut if off and then place it in a bag of rice. Left it for 48 hours. I went to Tekserve in nyc, they opened it and said there was no liquid damage, no corrosion whatsoever on the phone. They couldn't fix it because they follow apple guidelines and they would just replace it like apple would do.I have read online that changing the battery would fix the problem. I purchased a battery but it still doesn't work. I have apple care but I want to be able to recover my data since I haven't backed it up. Would it be possible to fix it without erasing the data in it? Answer:
Hi Gat, we do have a high success rate with water damage and you will only be charged for successful water damage repair service if we can power on the device to the point of being able to retrieve data. We recommend that you send it in.

Also when I go to turn it on, the white apple screen pops up and then it just turns back off. Could you take a guess on if it can be repaired and how much it would cost? Also do you accept walk-ins? if you do could you give me an estaminet on the spot? Answer:

While giving my dog a bath, I dropped my iphone 6 in a bucket of water. I was not aware I should power it off right away so I turned it on and saw a blue- black screen and then the apple logo with grey stripes down the screen. It has been in rice for two days and still will not turn on. My main concern is all of my photos because I do not think i have icloud turned on. What is the possibility this could be fixed and can you attempt to give me a ballpark estimate of what it would cost if it could be fixed? Thank you very much! Answer:

Hi, I dropped my iphone 6 in the toilet about 6 months ago. I immediately got it out of the water and it never turn off or anything. However, for 2 days, it would glitch from time to time. Eventually it went back to normal and all was well until last night. I went to charge my phone because it died and through the case, I felt that it was scorching hot. I let it cool down before charging it and when I finally did charge it, nothing happened. I will not turn on. I went to Verizon today to let them know that my phone overheated out of no where and they said they can not do anything about it because there was water damage. How can there still be water damage after being fine for 6 months?? Please help me because they are trying to tell me that I have to buy another phone or open up another phone line and still pay the existing line until my contract is up. Answer:
Water damage can cause corrosion that can build up over time. We have a good success rate restoring devices that have had water damage for a long time. We recommend that you send in your phone. We provide a thorough cleaning and diagnostic of your phone. You will only be charged for successful water damage repair service if we can power on the device to the point of being able to retrieve data.

I was able to still use the phone but I couldn't charge it, it's now dead. Hello, I dropped my iPhone 6 in the toilet last night. The phone was on and I tried to turn it off and was able to after the screen had lines with colors. I put it in rice before I went to bed. I woke up and panicked and tried to turn it on. The phone turned on after I plugged it in and still there was colors. I then turned it off and put it in rice. I removed the SIM card and noticed some water. I put a blow dryer to it as well then again put it back in rice in a zip lock bag. I noticed the camera was foggy and still had water. The water damage indicator is also pink. After having it in the bag for over 24 hours I then took it out and the camera was no longer foggy so I assumed it was dry. I then put the SIM card back in and put it on the charger. Nothing happened. I did not see the "charge me" indicator and started to panic again. My boyfriend called my phone about 5 minutes after it was on the charger. My phone rang and also vibrated. I heard all my messages go through as well but it still has a black screen. I have read everything online to DO NOT PUT IT IN RICE to rice is your only hope. I'm confused and frustrated and I literally only had my phone for a short while. What do I do? And what is the fastest and cheapest way to get my phone back working? I have hope... Answer:
Hi GIna, if you are near one of our walk-in locations we recommend that you bring it in as soon as possible so we can get to work on it. If you are not near our locations you can mail it in to our service center by selecting the water damage repair and proceeding to check-out. I really don't care if the phone works...I just want my pictures...When I restored my phone from my computer...it only restored up until last August...So is there something you all can do to get my pictures off? And how much would that cost me? Like I said my interest is in the pictures. Thanks Answer:
Hi Angie, we only charge for our water damage repair service if we are able to retrieve data off your phone. We have been able to retrieve photos off phones in similar situations in the past. We can't really say how much data we will be able to retrieve since water damage can vary wildly with each case and it is, by nature, unpredictable. But other than potentially the cost of shipping, you don't really have anything to lose by giving the service a try.

Hi, my iphone 6S plus got wet by water. Phone is working. But I could see some water inside the screen. ( 3 edges were covered by water except the top side). Would like to know how much will it cost to fix this. Thanks Answer:
Hi Priya, $49.99 (current as of Dec 2018) is the cost of the basic water damage repair service. A technician would open up your phone, clean it thoroughly, and dry it out completely. Sometimes they perform this cycle multiple times if necessary. In the event that other parts or labor are required, the technician would quote that separately before he or she proceeded.

Hi Dave, water damage repair starts with a full diagnostic and then a cycle (maybe several) of cleaning and drying. If this allows us to power up your phone and retrieve data, the charge is $49.99 (current as of Dec 2018). If we cannot retrieve data, you would pay nothing (or shipping only as a mail-in customer). Sometimes additional parts or labor may be required to power up your device. These would be quoted separately.

Hi Areale, our water damage repair service can help with issues like these. We have performed successful restorations of every generation of iPhone. can you fix my iPhone 6 it fell in the pool and it worked for about two seconds then the screen went striped white and turned off and never turned back on it also got really hot i tried to turn it on and it wont can u fix it if so how much Answer:
Hello, usually when the phone starts to get super hot after getting water damaged it's a sign that it might be logic board damaged and if that's the case then there's not much we can do. I would still recommend bringing it in to your nearest iFixYouri and having a technician take a look at it. If you do not have a store near you, you can also send it in for a free diagnostic via our website. If we're able to get the phone to turn back on to the point where you can get your information off of it then it's $49.99, if we're unable to get it to work then there is no charge. If the phone requires additional parts to get it working then it's the price of the part plus the water damage cost. The water damage repair process takes around 2-3 days. -Xavier

Hello, Chances are we can fix it. I would recommend turning off the phone to avoid additional damage and bringing it in to your nearest iFixYouri and having a technician take a look at it. Most likely the screen will have to be replaced and the phone must be dried out but without running the phone through the water damage repair process then there might be other issues down the line that show up from the water damage. Hello! I jumped in the pool with my iPhone 6 in my pocket and it was fully Submerged for about 15 seconds. Are there high chances of still being able to save it? Answer:
Hello, when it comes to water damage there are many factors that go in to whether a phone will work or not such as how long was it in the water, what chemicals were in the water, was there power applied to the phone while there was still liquid inside? There's no way to tell if the phone will work and for how long it will continue to work until we clean out and dry the phone and test it. The best thing I would recommend would be to bring it in to one of our shops and have a technician take a look at it; the sooner the better. -Xavier

Hi, Yes, we do, it would be a little difficult because we would have to trace back every screw in its exact position. Also, this would probably negate a chance to have a warranty on the repair, which we typically do not offer for water damage repair any way because of the unpredictability of water damage.

My toddler threw my iphone 6s in the toilet. It was in there for about 5 mins before we found it. It was completely.powered down when I got it. I didn't have any rice so I just let it dry..its been three says and still won't power on. Do you have a possible quote? Answer:
Hi Kayla, every water damage device is different, we would need to examine the device before we can come up with a quote. After we run our diagnosis on it, we can reach out to you with a repair quote.

My dad fell in the lake and then took a shower with his phone. Local repair shop said that it is serious water damage and would cost $160. Would your services cost more or less? Answer:
Hello, water damage can be unpredictable. It is possible that it may only need a good cleaning (which would be $49.99 if it works). If additional parts are required, they will be quoted, we will not proceed with those replacements until we get your approval. However, we'd need to see the device and perform diagnostics to know what was going on internally.

Im about to buy an IphoneX from somebody and they said the only problem about it is it has water damage. Can you help? Answer:
Hi Jessica, because every water-damaged device is different, we would have to see this iPhone X first to tell you how serious the damage is. Are you able to bring it to a walk-in location or mail it in?

How long will u have the iPhone? And how much would it cost, and are u guys in Washington state or in a other country Answer:
Hi Bethany.. Unfortunately, we do not have any stores in Washington. We are mainly based out of Florida and Massachusetts. Since you are not located near one of our stores, we'd recommend you to go on our website and do a mail-in option to fix your device. We would be more then happy to fix it. This process would depend on the repairs you need done. Some are same day/next day, and liquid damaged devices take a little bit longer to process. The cost, that depends on the kind of iPhone you have, which is all found on our website. Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any more questions. Have a great day!

Do you think it would be possible to fix an iphone 6 that fell in the toilet a year ago an hasn't been working since? I also forgot the password so do you think resetting it also an option? Answer:
Hi, Sounds like it needs the water treatment method. That would be $49.99 (current as of Dec 2018) if the phone comes out successful and generally takes 1-4 days. We only charge the repair fee if we can power up your device and retrieve data. If you bring it to your local iFixYouri, we can definitely try to bring your phone back to life!

I fell in a pool about a year ago - It was working on and off for a few days. Im guessing it got shorted out and has suffered internal damage. Is it worth getting it looked at? Answer:
Yes, we provide free diagnostic services as well as water treatment services for cell phones for $49.99 (Jan 2019 pricing). Bring in your device to your nearest iFixYouri to get it looked at. If additional parts or labor are required, they will be quoted separately.

After dropping my iPhone 6 Plus in the water, I took it out and everything worked fine. I can freely turn it on and off. The device charges properly. The only issue now is that the speaker(s) and microphone(s) are not working. Is that the kind of damage you can fix? Your website makes it sound like you only restore the phone to the point where data is retrievable (which is where my phone currently is). Also, if you can fix that problem, how can you afford to do it for cheaper than Apple? I'm sorry, but this service looks really sketch and I just want to make sure it's not fake before I commit to it. Answer:
Hello Evan, water damage device are on a case by case basis. In order to give you an exact quote for the repair we would have to see the device first, keep in mind that if we can't fix it, it's free. Also, Apple charges a flat free for any repair, and most of the time they will replace your device if it was water damaged, we will fix your device, and that is why we can afford to do it for cheaper. I hope it helps, let us know if we can answer any other questions.

Hi! I have an IPhone 6 that's been water damaged for a few months now and it won't turn on. I only care about the photos I have on my phone, Is there any way you could repair the phone by changing the battery if that was the problem. Answer:
If it's water damaged and not turning on, we would have to do a water damage treatment. We charge $49.99 for this service only if we are able to recover data. If your phone needs a new battery we would quote that separately.
