Description
Distorted or missing sound from the iPhone 16e's loud speaker is one of the more common faults we see, especially after a trip to the pool or a drop onto the bottom edge.
About the iPhone 16e
The iPhone 16e (2025) has a 6.1-inch OLED (notch design) display in an aluminum frame. It is a phone people keep for years, which makes repairing it far better value than replacing it. The 16e keeps Face ID and the Action button but drops MagSafe and uses Apple's own C1 modem.

What we do
First we clean the grille and run an audio test to rule out blockage. If the speaker has failed, we replace it, fit a new adhesive seal, and test it at full volume across calls, media and alerts.

Common questions
Could it just be dirt in the speaker?
Sometimes, yes. Lint and debris are common. If cleaning fixes it, we tell you, and you will not pay for a speaker you did not need.
Is my iPhone 16e still water resistant afterwards?
We fit a new adhesive seal every time the phone is opened, which helps keep out splashes and dust. No repaired phone can be guaranteed to match its original water resistance, so keep it away from water where you can.
How do I check that my phone is an iPhone 16e?
Open Settings > General > About. The Model Name line should read iPhone 16e. If it shows something else, pick that model's repair instead, or call us and we will point you to the right one.
