Description
If ringtones on your iPhone 17 sound thin, music crackles near full volume, or speakerphone has gone silent while calls through the earpiece are fine, the loud speaker is the likely culprit. Dust and pocket lint packed into the speaker grille can cause the same thing, so we always check that first.
About the iPhone 17
The iPhone 17 (2025) has a 6.3-inch ProMotion OLED display in an aluminum frame. Like every recent iPhone it is IP68 rated, but that seal weakens with age and every drop. The 17 brought ProMotion and the square Center Stage selfie camera to the standard iPhone for the first time.

Signs you need this repair
- Very quiet ringtones and alarms
- No sound on speakerphone, video or music
- Earpiece works on calls but the speaker does not
What we do
First we clean the grille and run an audio test to rule out blockage. If the speaker has failed, we replace it, fit a new adhesive seal, and test it at full volume across calls, media and alerts.
Price
- Replacement Loud Speaker: $107.99
Every repair starts with incoming diagnostics. If we find anything else, we contact you before doing more work.
Mail-in or walk-in
Mail-in is simple: order, print the prepaid UPS label we email you (it includes $100 of insurance), and ship the iPhone 17 by itself in a well-padded box. Include your order confirmation so we can match it quickly. You get updates when it arrives, when it is fixed and when it ships back.
Prefer to hand it over in person? Our Jupiter store on Donald Ross Road takes walk-ins six days a week, 10 to 7, with Sunday appointments 11 to 5.
Warranty
You get a 90-day warranty on the part we fit. If it fails from a defect in that time we fix it free; new accidental damage is not included.
Common questions
Could it just be dirt in the speaker?
Sometimes, yes. Lint and debris are common. If cleaning fixes it, we tell you, and you will not pay for a speaker you did not need.
Is my iPhone 17 still water resistant afterwards?
We fit a new adhesive seal every time the phone is opened, which helps keep out splashes and dust. No repaired phone can be guaranteed to match its original water resistance, so keep it away from water where you can.
How do I check that my phone is an iPhone 17?
Open Settings > General > About. The Model Name line should read iPhone 17. If it shows something else, pick that model's repair instead, or call us and we will point you to the right one.
