Description
A side button on the iPhone 17 Pro that feels mushy, has to be pressed hard, or does nothing at all makes the phone surprisingly hard to use: no locking, no Apple Pay double-click, no Siri, and no forced restart.
About the iPhone 17 Pro
The buttons on the iPhone 17 Pro sit in its aluminum unibody frame, with the flex cables running just inside the edge. A knock on the side of the phone can crack the flex without leaving a mark outside. Apple switched the Pro from titanium to an aluminum unibody with a vapor chamber, and stretched the camera plateau across the full width of the back.

Common questions
Can I use my iPhone without the side button in the meantime?
Yes. Turn on AssistiveTouch in Settings > Accessibility > Touch to get an on-screen button that can lock the phone and take screenshots.
Is this the same as the Camera Control?
No. This repair covers the side (power) button only.
How do I check that my phone is an iPhone 17 Pro?
Open Settings > General > About. The Model Name line should read iPhone 17 Pro. If it shows something else, pick that model's repair instead, or call us and we will point you to the right one.
Not sure this is the right repair? Call 888-494-4349 or email support@ifixyouri.com and a technician will talk it through with you.
