Description
Volume buttons on the iPhone 17 Pro that stick, rattle, or stop responding are usually a damaged button flex rather than the buttons themselves. It often starts after a drop onto the left side of the frame.
About the iPhone 17 Pro
The buttons on the iPhone 17 Pro sit in its aluminum unibody frame, with the flex cables running just inside the edge. A knock on the side of the phone can crack the flex without leaving a mark outside. Apple switched the Pro from titanium to an aluminum unibody with a vapor chamber, and stretched the camera plateau across the full width of the back.

Common questions
Why does my volume change by itself?
A volume flex that is damaged or has moisture on it can register phantom presses. Replacing the flex fixes it.
How long does it take?
In store it is usually same day. Mail-in repairs are turned around as soon as the part is fitted and tested.
How do I check that my phone is an iPhone 17 Pro?
Open Settings > General > About. The Model Name line should read iPhone 17 Pro. If it shows something else, pick that model's repair instead, or call us and we will point you to the right one.
