Description
A side button on the iPhone 17e that feels mushy, has to be pressed hard, or does nothing at all makes the phone surprisingly hard to use: no locking, no Apple Pay double-click, no Siri, and no forced restart.
About the iPhone 17e
The iPhone 17e is Apple's newest entry-level iPhone. Because it is so new, we source parts as they are released and inspect every part before it goes into your phone. As Apple's 2026 entry model it is still new to the repair market, so parts supply is only now building up.
Signs you need this repair
- You have to press hard or several times
- Apple Pay double-click or Siri does not trigger
- Screenshots and forced restarts fail
What we do
We replace the side button flex cable and check the button itself for damage to the frame. Then we test locking, Siri, Apple Pay double-click, screenshots and a forced restart.
Price
We have not posted a set price for this repair on the iPhone 17e yet, because part pricing is still settling. Call 888-494-4349 for today's quote, or send it in and we will quote it after the free inspection. Nothing is repaired or charged until you say yes.
Mail-in or walk-in
Mail-in is simple: order, print the prepaid UPS label we email you (it includes $100 of insurance), and ship the iPhone 17e by itself in a well-padded box. Include your order confirmation so we can match it quickly. You get updates when it arrives, when it is fixed and when it ships back.
Prefer to hand it over in person? Our Jupiter store on Donald Ross Road takes walk-ins six days a week, 10 to 7, with Sunday appointments 11 to 5.
Warranty
You get a 90-day warranty on the part we fit. If it fails from a defect in that time we fix it free; new accidental damage is not included.
Common questions
Can I use my iPhone without the side button in the meantime?
Yes. Turn on AssistiveTouch in Settings > Accessibility > Touch to get an on-screen button that can lock the phone and take screenshots.
Does the iPhone 17e have a Camera Control?
No. The iPhone 17e has a side button, volume buttons and the Action button, and this repair covers the side button.
How do I check that my phone is an iPhone 17e?
Open Settings > General > About. The Model Name line should read iPhone 17e. If it shows something else, pick that model's repair instead, or call us and we will point you to the right one.
Not sure this is the right repair? Call 888-494-4349 or email support@ifixyouri.com and a technician will talk it through with you.
