Description
The MacBook Air 15-inch M2 (A2941, 2023) is the first 15-inch Air, with a six-speaker sound system and MagSafe 3. Its battery is glued in with strong adhesive, and removing it without puncturing a cell is the whole skill of this job. That makes it one for a technician, not a pry tool.
About the MacBook Air 15-inch M2 (A2941)
The MacBook Air 15-inch M2 is fanless, so it runs silent but relies on its case to shed heat, and heat is one of the main things that ages a battery early. Some MacBook Air 15-inch M2 owners still have AppleCare+, so check coverage at checkcoverage.apple.com. If it has lapsed or the damage is not covered, we are usually the faster and cheaper route.

Our process
We read the battery's cycle count and condition, confirm it is the cause, and then replace it. Removing glued-in cells safely takes patience, and it is where most DIY attempts go wrong. Every repair finishes with a calibration cycle and a check that the trackpad clicks evenly.

Common questions
How do I check my battery health?
Open System Settings > Battery and click the info button next to Battery Health. It shows the condition and maximum capacity. For the cycle count, go to System Information > Power.
Is a swollen battery dangerous?
Yes. Stop using it, keep it off the charger and get it to us. A swollen battery can damage the trackpad and case, and it is a fire risk.
How do I confirm I have the MacBook Air 15-inch M2?
Click the Apple menu > About This Mac. It lists the screen size and year, and the chip, which should read Apple M2. The model number printed on the bottom case is A2941.
