Description

If the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 only charges with the cable held at an angle, will not charge on one side, or keeps disconnecting drives, the port board has usually failed. The MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 (A2338, 2020–2022) is the last MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar, sold with the M1 in 2020 and the M2 in 2022.

About the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 (A2338)

For power and accessories it has two Thunderbolt / USB-C ports and no MagSafe. Most MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 machines are now past Apple's warranty and AppleCare, which is where an independent repair saves the most.

What we do

We test every port, the charger and cable, then replace the USB-C Port Board if it has failed. That is far cheaper than a logic board repair. Afterwards we test charging, data and display output.

Price

  • USB-C Port Board: $125.99

Every repair starts with incoming diagnostics. If we find anything else, we contact you before doing more work.

Mail-in or walk-in

Not near Florida? Check out here and a prepaid UPS label, insured for $100, lands in your inbox. Send just the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 in a padded box with your order email inside. We confirm the fault on arrival, do the repair, run final testing and send it home with tracking.

Prefer to hand it over in person? Our Jupiter store on Donald Ross Road takes walk-ins six days a week, 10 to 7, with Sunday appointments 11 to 5.

Warranty

Every part we install carries a 90-day warranty. That covers the part and our work, not fresh drops or liquid.

Common questions

Could it be my charger?

Try another charger and cable first. If the Mac still will not charge, it is the port board or the power circuit, and we test both.

Will my data be affected?

No. The port board is separate from storage.

How do I confirm I have the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2?

Click the Apple menu > About This Mac. It lists the screen size and year, and the chip, which should read Apple M1 or M2. The model number printed on the bottom case is A2338.

Talk to a real technician at 888-494-4349, or email support@ifixyouri.com. We are happy to confirm the fault before you buy.
