Description
No power, no chime, no charging LED? A MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 Pro/Max that shows no signs of life after a spill or power surge usually has a board-level fault that we can repair without replacing the board.
About the MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 Pro/Max (A2442)
The M1 Pro/Max chip, its unified memory and the SSD are all soldered to the logic board, which is why board-level repair beats replacement. These Pros draw a lot of power under load, and failed power components after a spill or a bad third-party charger are the usual board faults. Most MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 Pro/Max machines are now past Apple's warranty and AppleCare, which is where an independent repair saves the most.

What we do
We diagnose the board under a microscope, find the failed components and replace them, then run extended stress tests. Because storage is soldered to the board, repairing it rather than replacing it is often the only way to keep your data.
Price
- Component-Level Repair: $699.99
Every repair starts with incoming diagnostics. If we find anything else, we contact you before doing more work.

Common questions
Can you save my data?
Often, yes. Repairing the original board keeps the storage chips in place, and your files with them.
What if it cannot be repaired?
We will tell you after the diagnostic and you only pay for a repair you approve.
How do I confirm I have the MacBook Pro 14-inch M1 Pro/Max?
Click the Apple menu > About This Mac. It lists the screen size and year, and the chip, which should read Apple M1 Pro or M1 Max. The model number printed on the bottom case is A2442.
