Description
No power, no chime, no charging LED? A MacBook Pro 16-inch M2 Pro/Max that shows no signs of life after a spill or power surge usually has a board-level fault that we can repair without replacing the board.
About the MacBook Pro 16-inch M2 Pro/Max (A2780)
The M2 Pro/Max chip, its unified memory and the SSD are all soldered to the logic board, which is why board-level repair beats replacement. These Pros draw a lot of power under load, and failed power components after a spill or a bad third-party charger are the usual board faults. Some MacBook Pro 16-inch M2 Pro/Max owners still have AppleCare+, so check coverage at checkcoverage.apple.com. If it has lapsed or the damage is not covered, we are usually the faster and cheaper route.

What we do
We diagnose the board under a microscope, find the failed components and replace them, then run extended stress tests. Because storage is soldered to the board, repairing it rather than replacing it is often the only way to keep your data.
Price
- Component-Level Repair: $699.99
Every repair starts with incoming diagnostics. If we find anything else, we contact you before doing more work.

Common questions
Can you save my data?
Often, yes. Repairing the original board keeps the storage chips in place, and your files with them.
What if it cannot be repaired?
We will tell you after the diagnostic and you only pay for a repair you approve.
How do I confirm I have the MacBook Pro 16-inch M2 Pro/Max?
Click the Apple menu > About This Mac. It lists the screen size and year, and the chip, which should read Apple M2 Pro or M2 Max. The model number printed on the bottom case is A2780.
