Description
Battery life on the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 falls with every charge cycle. When macOS shows Service Recommended, or the machine dies well before the percentage says it should, it is time for a new battery.
About the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 (A2338)
The MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 is fan-cooled. Heat is one of the main things that ages a battery early, so keep the vents clear and the fan free of dust. Most MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 machines are now past Apple's warranty and AppleCare, which is where an independent repair saves the most.

What we do
We check the cycle count and health first, then remove the old cells, clean away the adhesive, fit a new battery and calibrate it with a full charge and discharge. We check the trackpad afterwards, since a swollen battery can push it out of shape.

Every repair starts with incoming diagnostics. If we find anything else, we contact you before doing more work.

Common questions
How do I check my battery health?
Open System Settings > Battery and click the info button next to Battery Health. It shows the condition and maximum capacity. For the cycle count, go to System Information > Power.
Is a swollen battery dangerous?
Yes. Stop using it, keep it off the charger and get it to us. A swollen battery can damage the trackpad and case, and it is a fire risk.
How do I confirm I have the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2?
Click the Apple menu > About This Mac. It lists the screen size and year, and the chip, which should read Apple M1 or M2. The model number printed on the bottom case is A2338.
