Description
The MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 (A2338, 2020–2022) is the last MacBook Pro with the Touch Bar, sold with the M1 in 2020 and the M2 in 2022. If it is dead, stuck on a black screen, or showing signs of liquid damage, we repair the logic board at the component level.
About the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 (A2338)
The M1/M2 chip, its unified memory and the SSD are all soldered to the logic board, which is why board-level repair beats replacement. On this model, most board faults we see come from spills through the keyboard and from damaged USB-C charging circuits. Most MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2 machines are now past Apple's warranty and AppleCare, which is where an independent repair saves the most.

Common questions
Can you save my data?
Often, yes. Repairing the original board keeps the storage chips in place, and your files with them.
What if it cannot be repaired?
We will tell you after the diagnostic and you only pay for a repair you approve.
How do I confirm I have the MacBook Pro 13-inch M1/M2?
Click the Apple menu > About This Mac. It lists the screen size and year, and the chip, which should read Apple M1 or M2. The model number printed on the bottom case is A2338.
